We track 28 vendors across 9 competitive categories on the subprocessor pages of a fixed panel of 151 SaaS companies — all founded before 2021 — captured twice: once in 2018–2021 (93 of them in 2021) and again in 2026. Because the panel is the same companies at both dates, every change is a real change in what they use. A broader set of all 1,421 companies with a 2026 list is shown only as a reference.
Each panel company is an established firm (founded before 2021) whose subprocessor page we hold at both dates. Two examples, before and after:
OpenAI appears on 56 of the 151 panel lists in 2026 and Anthropic on 42 — both were on zero before 2022; Adobe and Customer.io each added OpenAI and more. adobe.com
Customer support is the only category where every vendor lost or held: Zendesk 34%→33%, Intercom 17%→15%; Rapid7, Metabase and AWeber all dropped Zendesk. rapid7.com
The biggest single drop is Mailchimp / Mandrill, 13%→9% of the panel; Sanity is one of the companies that removed it. sanity.io
PostHog shows the panel's age bias: 3% of the older panel but 10% of all 1,421 companies in 2026, because younger startups favour it — AWeber (founded 1998) is a rare panel adopter. aweber.com
All founded before 2021; most 2010–2014. The earlier capture is the last copy of each list before 2022.

Method: vendor mentions on SaaS subprocessor pages. Panel = 151 companies founded before 2021 with a page copy both in 2018–2021 (via Keenable Time Machine) and in 2026; shares = fraction of the 151 naming each vendor. The 1,421-company reference comes from Third Party Index (thirdpartyindex.com), 2026 lists only. A vendor counts if its name appears anywhere on the page; "Azure" includes Azure OpenAI and "Gemini / Vertex" overlaps Google Cloud. Payments (Stripe) and comms APIs (Twilio) were left out because one vendor dominates each. 35 vendor rows across 9 categories; 12 worked examples shown in full.
