A live-web census surfaced 66 corroborated candidate transition records between frontier AI labs from January 2025 through October 10, 2026 — OpenAI, Anthropic, Google DeepMind, Meta, xAI, Thinking Machines Lab and Cohere. This is public reporting, not a complete employment database: unreported moves cannot be observed. Two researchers appear twice because sources disagree on the lab they left; those conflicts are flagged, not double-counted, leaving 63 headline moves across 18 corridors.
Ribbon width is the number of reported moves on that corridor. Hover a ribbon or a lab for the researchers behind it.
Each bar is one month; colour is the destination lab. The mid-2025 spike is Meta's superintelligence build-out; 2026 columns tilt toward Anthropic and OpenAI.
Chronological. Rows marked “origin disputed” are the same researcher, destination and month reported with two different prior employers — counted once in headline totals.

Open-web public-reporting census of researcher moves between frontier AI labs, January 2025 – October 10, 2026. 66 corroborated records (63 distinct moves after resolving two origin conflicts); ~4,200 deduplicated web results scanned, semantic extraction over ~4,000 pages; each row backed by at least two independent source hosts. Month is the reported start or announcement month. Advisers and biographical mentions excluded; private moves unobservable.
