Coverage note — this is not a launch census

The source's own pages state roughly 7,366 orbital launches since 1957, but its web-visible year pages exposed at most 50 rows per year to this extraction even when pagination URLs were requested. The 3,394 unique rows here are the fullest reproducible SELECT output obtainable from the source's public indexed pages — materially incomplete, and unsuitable as an all-launch census. The flat 50-launch ceiling visible in the chart below is the extraction cap, not history. "Operating bloc" is a rule-based analytical grouping inferred from operator and launch site; it is not an official source field.

The result set holds 3,394 deduplicated rows (one per web-visible launch record) across 48 sites, 25 active — active means a recorded orbital launch on or after 2024-01-01. Only the first 864 of the 3,394 rows (1957 through October 1976) were delivered to this renderer; the chart and table aggregate those rows by year and bloc, and full-dataset totals (3,394 rows, bloc and site counts, last-launch dates) are taken from the result set's precomputed aggregate columns. Operating bloc is a rule-based inference from operator and launch site, not a source field. The source archive itself states ~7,366 orbital launches since 1957, so this output is materially incomplete; year pages exposed at most 50 rows each. Per-row detail (mission, vehicle, operator, orbit) was cut for space. Coverage evidence from a 25-row source-discovery set was used only for the methodology note.
