A correction to the earlier 2026 AI / physical-AI / AI-infrastructure startup report, built from press coverage of River AI published between August 11 and August 24, 2026. River AI fits the original screen — a new AI-infrastructure startup launched in June 2026 with a new site — and should have been included in the AI-infrastructure section, not physical AI.

We own this one. River AI met every criterion of the original screen and should have appeared in the AI-infrastructure section of the list. The gap was in our research and extraction pass, not in the eligibility rules. A contributing factor: the company's major public signal — the $1.1 billion announcement — arrived on August 11, 2026, so a scan run earlier had little coverage to find. This addendum restores the entry.
Method: correction addendum built from press coverage of River AI dated August 11–24, 2026, drawn from three reviewed evidence sets covering product details, company profile attributes, and cross-source confirmation. Each attribute in the corrected row cites the single article it was taken from; performance figures are company claims as reported, not measurements. Duplicate syndicated articles were reviewed but not listed for space. No valuation, round split, customer, revenue, retention, or X/Twitter figure appears because none was reliably disclosed in the reviewed sources.
