Where the candidates cluster
Colour: candidate records per country (log scale), from country labels only — no site coordinates were collected. Method and limits
“All surf camps in Europe” here means all web-discoverable candidates this scan found, not every operating camp in existence: there is no authoritative registry, businesses open and close, and marketplace or editorial pages blur surf camps with surf houses, lodges, hostels and schools. Some names may remain duplicated where branches, spelling variants or missing locations could not safely be merged. The scan covered pan-European directories plus country and region searches across the Atlantic, North Sea, Baltic, Mediterranean and Black Sea coasts, the islands and northern Europe. Records with a blank location or no official website deserve extra verification before booking.
