A live-web scan gathered 531 distinct residential surf camps, surf lodges with structured programs, and multi-day surf retreats with accommodation, across Latin America (461 camps), the United States and Canada (34), and islands of the Americas (36), spanning 33 country and territory labels before consolidation. It is a broad web-discovered directory, not an exhaustive census of every operating camp.

Pre-normalization counts; variant labels such as USA/United States and Panama/Panamá were merged in the final directory (534 rows became 531). Mexico, Ecuador and the United States each appear in two regions because island rows (e.g. Galápagos, Hawaii) are counted separately here.

Counts measure directory rows, not verified operating camps; hotels near surf, plain destinations and day-only lessons were excluded. Sources are broad: the most-used host backs 5.2% of rows. No coordinates were collected, so the map shades countries only.
