“select the top 25 repos (more stars) that have obsidian vault examples oriented to PKM, multimedia storage and quant finance users”

25 GitHub repositories that ship a complete or substantial Obsidian example vault, starter vault or template collection, ranked by observed stars as of 2026-10-19 — 18 oriented to personal knowledge management, 4 to multimedia or media-collection storage, and 3 to quantitative finance, investing or trading. This is a best-effort top 25 from repositories verifiable by live web search, not an exhaustive census of GitHub.

Personal knowledge management (18) Multimedia / media-collection storage (4) Quant finance, investing or trading (3)

Stars on a log scale — the distribution spans 5 to 15,610. Hover a bar for the vault artifact behind the number.

The leader, AgriciDaniel/claude-obsidian, has 15,610 stars — more than the other 24 repositories combined (about 13,700). obsidianvaulthub.com

The top multimedia pick, mProjectsCode/obsidian-media-db-plugin at 492 stars, qualifies through its inspectable exampleVault folder shipped alongside the plugin source. github.com

Quant finance is the thinnest niche: its leader, Electricitysheep/ai-agent-playbook, holds 32 stars but ships a clonable vault of 106 original research notes plus 16 runnable experiments. github.com

Every multimedia and quant-finance vault sits below 500 stars, yet several are the most complete turnkey vaults in the list — star count here tracks audience size, not vault quality. github.com

Method: web search over GitHub repository pages plus independent Obsidian-vault catalog and aggregator pages; 25 repositories kept, each shipping a complete or substantial Obsidian example vault, starter vault, template or reusable template collection relevant to PKM, multimedia cataloging, or quant finance — pure link lists excluded. Stars are observed current values as of 2026-10-19 and can lag GitHub slightly where read from indexed catalog pages. Each of the 25 rows is backed by its own source URL across 4 independent hosts; no single URL backs more than one row (4%). Best-effort selection, not exhaustive coverage.
