What the map shows
The market is global, but command remains concentrated. Eight platforms are headquartered in New York or Newark; Ares is in Los Angeles and Barings in Charlotte.
North America and Asia-Pacific are the common denominator. Every shortlisted manager reports activity or offices in both corridors; BlackRock describes a worldwide network. blackrock.com
Europe is nearly universal. Nine managers have explicit European coverage in the sources reviewed; Apollo lists a substantial European office network. apollo.com
Latin America, the Middle East and Africa are differentiators. Broadest stated footprints belong to BlackRock and Goldman Sachs, with Ares, Brookfield and KKR also extending beyond the three core corridors. goldmansachs.com
